How we tested

For each provider we connected to three servers per region, loaded a title exclusive to that library, and played it for five minutes while watching the stream quality indicator. A pass means the title played at the highest available resolution with no proxy error and no mid-stream buffering.

We repeated every test at a local evening peak time, because server load changes results far more than raw distance does.

Fixing the Netflix proxy error
